Initial Thoughts on Hoss Technical Gear Apparel

The first thing you really notice about the Hoss Technical Gear mountain biking shorts and jerseys is the price. They are incredibly price competitive in a market where their competition is priced much higher. This makes for a very attractive package when looking for new gear to wear at your local trail head. Even at this price, the Hoss gear is well constructed using high grade materials. The shorts are adjustable in the waist and comfortable on and off the bike.

The Ponderosa shorts have an attached liner which I am not incredibly fond of. The liner is great, but I would have rather seen a detachable liner on this model. When you step up to the Stallion short, you get the detachable liner, but you also get a string waist attachment instead of a button. The outside shell of the Stallion is very light which makes it great for spring and summer riding.

Overall, the mountain biking clothes from Hoss Technical Gear are stylish without being too far out there, so your average Joe mountain biker should really like the comfort and look. When you add in the conservative MSRP of the provided clothes, that make Hoss a top pick for many mountain bikers.

We are going to continue to put this mountain biking apparel from Hoss Technical Gear through some abuse over the next couple of weeks, so look for more on the bike reviews as this moves forward.
