The Perfect Morning Mountain Bike Rides

It was Saturday morning. I headed down to Blankets Creek to get in an early morning ride to beat the heat. Just like I expected, I was one of 3 cars in the parking lot this early. Usually, this parking lot is filled with over 40 cars on a weekend. The morning fog hadn’t even lifted off the lake yet and I started to get ready for my ride.

Clix Wheel Release QR System – Tested and Reviewed

At first, I just started playing with the Clix in the RST fork. To my surprise, I was able to hold the heavy RST fork in one hand while quickly removing and latching the hub with the other. It was almost too good to believe! Was this really a QR that wasn’t going to require re-tensioning and could be operated with one hand?

Mountain Biking Videos – Bike Crashes

Ok…It is always funny to watch other riders eat it on their bikes. I even enjoy watching footage of myself doing it. What is it about watching other peoples pain that is funny every time?! I found this video on youtube.com last night and I had to share it for this weeks Tuesday video installment.

The Importance of Challenging Yourself

With every ride, you need to challenge yourself in at least one aspect of your riding. This does not always have to be some huge accomplishment and actually it is better if they are not. As you start to ride more (or are an experienced rider) achieving these accomplishments does several things.

2009 Fox Talas 140 RLC 15mm Thru Axle

I was right on board with the anti 15mm crowd from the beginning. It was actually my first post on this blog. The 15mm axle creates a problem for manufacturers and end users by creating yet another “standard” by which we have to live by. The increases prices and makes replacement parts harder to come by.
