Raccoon Mountain Free Ride

GoPro Wide Angle 5mp

As many of you already know, Chad Oliver is part of the Mountain Biking by 198 crew and tests out parts from time to time. I went to Chad a couple of weeks ago and gave him a set of Excavator and Telonics tires from Kenda and told him to go rip it up. He came back to me about 2 weeks later and said that he needed one of the GoPro cameras to really document how things were going.

Well, in true “no-dab” Chad fashion, we got a killer video sequence from Raccoon Mountain in Chattanooga, TN.

We have been experimenting with the GoPro’s for awhile now trying to find the right angles to capture parts and riding. My previous video on the GoPro had the camera pointed straight out to see far down the trail. While this showed a lot of the trail in front of me, it gave the illusion that I was riding through the trees with no real focus point.

Chad took a little bit different approach and made sure his bars were always in the picture. This creates a much better sequence by providing a focus point that your eyes draw off of. You also get to see some of the killer terrain he is riding over.
