Some Troy Lee Carbon

My Specialized Deviant has seen better days. It took the brunt of my freeride/downhill learning curve and it is time for it to go into retirement.

I ran into a deal that I just couldn’t say no to from Mark at T2 Bikes, and I picked up a Troy Lee Designs D2 Carbon. The helmet (off the bike) is much lighter and a lot more comfortable. I am hoping that the blue and red flames on the TLD make me faster than the ghost flames on the Specy…but I am not going to hold my breath. Now I just have one more product has more bling than my riding!

Overall, comfort and safety are the two most important things about a full face helmet (or any helmet), and this one appears to be better in both areas. Now I just need to throw the DH Ardents back on the Ventana and put the helmet to good use.

A Windrock trip sounds like the perfect testing ground.
