This video of Kilian Bron shredding his home single track in Semnoz, France really hit home. The quotes at the beginning really touched a nerve as a reminder that awesome riding can be found close to home. You don’t need big mountain bike parks, chair lifts or crowded trails. All you really need is your bike, some dirt and the willingness to ride. Of course…he does say this as the terrain next to his house looks pretty insane…but the point gets driven home none the less.
In the southeast…we are spoiled with some great mountain biking. It might not be the same as out west…but it has a unique character all its own with deep forest, rooty trail and mountainous terrain. This video just makes me want to get out and ride. Enjoy.
