What that means in practice
Some of the outbound product links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays this site a small commission. The price you pay is the same either way. There is no surcharge, no special code, and no version of the product page that costs you more for having come from here.
That commission helps pay for the bikes, parts, and gear that get ridden and reviewed here.
What it does not mean
It does not influence a verdict. Ever. Plenty of reviews on this site end with a pass or a hard “don’t buy,” and those pages can still carry affiliate links. If commission drove the conclusions, they wouldn’t.
Commission rates differ between products and retailers. Nothing on this site is ranked, ordered, or recommended according to what it pays.
Review units and sponsorship
Most of what gets tested here was bought at retail or long-term owned. When a manufacturer or brand supplies a review unit, that is stated in the review itself, near the top — not buried in a footer. A supplied unit is never exchanged for a favourable verdict, and no manufacturer sees a review before it publishes. Sponsored posts, if any, are labelled as sponsored. Editorial opinions are mine.
