Video: The Deans Bank trail, in Wanaka, New Zealand

Awhile back, I was talking about how DH videos seem to be ruling the internets with little to no response from the AM or XC crowd. The reality is that it is harder to make an XC or AM video look as interesting on screen as road gaps, big drops and crazy stunts, but it can be done.

In this video from a crew of riders you can see spelled out below, a trip around the Deans Bank trail is captured in New Zealand. Is the trail overly technical? No. Is there anything out of this world that you have never seen before? No. Is the rider riding insanely fast? Well…yes on that but what makes the video really interesting is the use of short cuts, interesting views of the landscape and details of the terrain. These guys did a great job of capturing their trail while keeping it interesting for the viewer.

I really wish we could see more XC and AM styled videos such as this one.

The Lake Wanaka region of New Zealand is renowned as one of the upcoming mountain bike hot spots of the world, with over 500km of tracks on offer. Justin Leov rides the Deans Bank trail, in Wanaka, New Zealand on a beautiful Autumn day.
