  • Summer time brings the excitement of planning evening or weekend rides. I know that I try to plan a few rides a week, and most of the time, my husband and I ride together. There are times when he isn’t able to go, and I still want to use my time to hit the trails. Some women don’t think about it and just go ride, but I always have a bit of reservation in the back of my head because not everyone that is out on the forest trails are there for the sheer enjoyment of the forest.

  • This is part of a weekly series where I will be posting mountain biking videos that I have found over the week. They will be posted every Tuesday. The first video for this Tuesday is a personal favorite of mine. Sam Hill (World Cup DH Champ) takes on Alex Stone (World Champ Rally Driver) in a downhill race.

On Pisgah epics, cycling is an adrenaline rush, exercise and a passion. For shuttle dh runs, it is almost all adrenaline rush (which is addicting). Somedays, cycling is just an excuse to get outside on a perfect day.

  • A post on our local board this week pointed in the direction of an article on Specialized Bikes. On March 16, 2008, CNN Money published an article of Mark Sinyard telling his story of Specialized Bikes. The article is a great testament on how one man can grow a company from a trailer to 500 million by overcoming diversity along the way.

  • The Industry Nine vs. Chris King hub debate is one rivalry that has gotten a lot of press over the last couple of years. The rookie, Industry Nine, has stepped in to try to claim the title. In every great match-up, the race is pretty close. I have owned or currently own both of these incredible hubs. How do they measure up?

  • Ryan White (michaelryanwhite.com) and the crew at Red Clay Interactive hooked us up with an incredible new logo for the site. The really made something that flows with the overall design and will be used in future media ventures.
