Mountain Biking Photo Of The Week: Focus

1 min read

On Bike198, we are going to start featuring one photo a week from the Bike198 Flickr group that really sets up the rides for the weekend.

Mountain Biking Focus

This photo by Adrian Buturca bh3x Photography really caught my eye when scanning through the latest uploads. While many of you do not ride DH, the focus and concentration that is captured in this shot is applicable to all riding styles. It really brings across the feeling of riding single track that can only be felt on a mountain bike.

When the silence sets in and all you can hear is the ripping of dirt and movement of suspension parts. Eventually…even those sounds subside as you continue to ride down the hill. When focus and precision meet…all else is forgotten and all that matters is pinning that next turn. Time seems to stop for a split moment as you navigate the terrain. One of the best feelings on the bike is that silence in chaos…and this photo seems to capture that in one split second.

I founded Bike198 back in 2008 and started riding bikes seriously in 1994. A lot has changed since that time and one of the greatest releases is still getting out on the bike and shredding trail or tearing up the road.
