Video: After the Crash…Damage Control

1 min readUpdated May 1, 2017

Check out this video put together by Gareth Van Dyk. A small crash, but on top of the world, and riding solo, means that you have to fix what you break (or dislocate) trail side.

Warning: Bent, but not broken, body parts

In 2009, I was 250lbs, and racing cars with the SCCA. I bought a bike for myself for my birthday as I was always interested in mountain biking. I had a few friends that were “recovering car racers” that raced mountain bikes and I thought I’d give it a try. I picked it up pretty damn fast, fell in love, and created my next obsession. 3 years later, I’m 170lbs, been riding better and better and got into racing. It's been downhill (uphill??) since.
