A video that truly captures what it is like to trail ride | Bike198

A friend of mine linked up this video this morning and his comment was right.

“This is awesome and we can all relate to it cause we all ride like this. Truth.”

You won’t find any huge gap jumps, tricks or slow motion whips…just a killer trail with Jon Bokrantz shredding it. This is how I like to ride and the video perfectly captures how it feels. Enjoy.

Bikes tell you in no uncertain terms that you are alive. When the ideals and thoughts of everyday life are unsynchronized with reality, bikes allow you to push aside your concerns and enjoy the present. By capturing these moments in time, we simply portray what all fellow mountain bikers are most passionate about: riding bikes.

I think I counted five pedal strokes in the whole video. That’s the two wheeled equivalent of a water slide. It’s not mountian biking to me!

My thoughts as well! A real ride is long, has ups (struggles) and downs. I can certainly appreciate a downhill run—-but that doesn’t make for the perfect ride.

I’m normally climbing until I get to sections like this but my favorite rides are long ups to long downs.
