Fatty's Bike Blog – FatCyclist.com

I read other bike blogs as much as I write on my own. After our regular Tuesday spin this week, we starting talking about blogs over a huge dish of “2 for Tuesday” wings. For me…sharing our life and biking experiences is just as great as the ride itself and with blogging, we are able to share these experiences to a much wider audience than just our dinner tables and trail heads. Each blog tends to take on its own character and has its own set of goals. I like to share other blogs as much as my own, so here is one of my favorites…

FATCYCLIST.COM – FATTY’S BIKE BLOG

FatCyclist.com is one of the blogs that I subscribe to the RSS feed and I can honestly say I have read every post since I started following. Elden is very passionate about the sport and his site layout looks incredible. The blog started as a way for Elden to post about his weight loss through biking and if you take a look at his about page you can see he has more than achieved the goals that he has set for himself. We have a fellow rider that has taken a similar path and has lost 110 lbs. through the sport. Stories like this show how cycling really affects our lives in positive ways.

Lately he has been helping his wife battle cancer, and their positive outlook during rough times is inspiring. He has even created a pink and black Fat Cyclist jersey that the proceeds go to help fund her treatments. As of this post, the pre-ordering is already over with, but there will be extras available in November (I’ll be hoping there is a large left…it will match the Project Pink Ellsworth!) You can get in touch with him for details. If you have been reading biking related blogs for awhile, you probably already know Fatty’s blog, but if you haven’t had the chance to read it yet…stop by and take a look.
